Her impact reaches far beyond home health. Rev. Tami serves as Chair of the Jersey City Women’s Advisory Board, a Police Chaplain for the JCPD, and a board member and chaplain for the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. In 2023, she was honored with the NJ Attorney General’s “Excellence in Policing” award, and most recently, she joined a mayoral slate to run for Jersey City Council—continuing her life’s work of service, advocacy, and justice.

“Care is not just a service—it’s a calling. And for me, it started at home.”

Through every chapter of her journey—from daughter and caregiver to CEO and community leader—Rev. Tami Weaver-Henry has stayed true to her mission: to ensure that the most vulnerable among us are never forgotten, but deeply cared for.

Tami Weaver Henry

What kind of person steps away from their own future to give someone else a chance at dignity? At just 17 years old, Rev. Tami Weaver-Henry did exactly that—leaving high school to care for her ailing mother. In the quiet hours of caregiving, she discovered not only her strength, but her purpose. That act of love became the seed of a lifelong mission—one that would grow into Angel’s Care Home Health Care, New Jersey’s first Christian-based home care agency.

With over 30 years of leadership and hands-on experience, Rev. Tami has built Angel’s Care around her personal philosophy, “Homecare 101”—a standard of care rooted in compassion, faith, and family. She believes that caregiving is more than medical support; it is spiritual work. Under her guidance, Angel’s Care ensures every client is treated like family—with dignity, reliability, and love.
